Five Years of Love, Chaos, Healing, and Adventure

Five years ago, God brought two lives together, and in doing so, He also combined two families into one. What began as two separate journeys, full of both joys and challenges, became a single path forward…a path that included 11 incredible children, and now two precious grandchildren (with many more to come!), and a home overflowing with laughter, chaos, and crazy love.

Blending a family is not always easy…cough cough. There are growing pains, adjustments, and moments where patience is tested. But through it all, I have learned that love, when rooted in trust and guided by God!!…can overcome many obstacles.

G has been that steady source of love and healing for me. He came into my life not just as a partner, but as a reminder that God restores hearts. His trustworthiness, his faith, and his unwavering support have shown me that life can be both safe and secure and even adventurous at the same time.

And let’s be honest…he thinks I’m crazy sometimes (okay, maybe more than sometimes!) BUT he loves me anyway. That’s the beauty of our marriage…he sees all of me and my crazy and chooses me, every single day.

Together we built something bigger than either of us could have dreamed alone. We created a home where eleven kids can flourish, where dreams are encouraged, and where laughter fills every corner. He has inspired me to dream big again…not just for myself, but for our children, our grandchildren, our marriage, and for the future God has planned for us.

5 years may seem small compared to other marriages at our age… but we still have a lifetime we will share together and a love that feels timeless. I’ve found a man who makes life interesting and an adventure, who helps me see every new chapter as a possibility, and who has given me the joy of looking forward to growing old together while never growing tired of each other.

I am grateful beyond words for the life we’ve built, for the family God has entrusted to us, and for the love that continues to deepen every single day. Here’s to 5 years of marriage, 11 kiddos, 2.5 grands, countless adventures, and a future filled with dreams that are still waiting to be seen and lived out together.

I truly love this life we’ve built and I thank God for every moment of it!!

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4
